Do you know someone who has been in an emergency situation where seconds count? In these critical moments, we rely on our frontline Emergency Medical Services (EMS) workers to be highly skilled and ready to save lives. The EMS Simulation Project at HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, will prepare students in HACC’s Emergency Medical Service programs to save lives through training on state-of-the-art simulation equipment.

This critically important project will allow HACC students to experience near real-life emergency situations and receive real-time feedback. Students from HACC’s EMS programs, such as Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and Paramedic certificate programs, as well as current EMS providers in the region seeking continuing education will benefit from in-depth training in the care of trauma patients. Students will gain a higher level of understanding of anatomy and physiology, pathology and essential life-saving procedures through hands-on experiences. This kind of realistic simulation has been proven to provide efficient field care and improve EMS treatment outcomes.

The EMS Simulation Project will benefit our community by allowing regional first responders to safely learn and practice essential emergency skills. This means EMS workers will have the ability to save more lives.

You or a loved one may one day benefit from such care.

Please give to support this important project today. Thank you!
