ALC is a Christian, classical education group that has met at Camp Sankanac for over 30 years! ALC and Camp Sankanac have been mutually blessed by each other’s partnership and shared vision of seeing youth and young adults trust in Christ and grow in their walk with the Lord.
We are excited to share that ALC will be joining Camp Sankanac in helping fundraise for their new Lodge building project. A few ALC parents have already donated their time, creating the architectural and engineering designs, saving tens of thousands of dollars. Now individuals have the option to make financial donations directly to the project.
Will you prayerfully consider partnering with us? This facility is critical for the growth and health of our programs!
The perfect opportunity to give is on Reach Day, a virtual fundraising event hosted by BCM Intl. (The missions organization that owns Camp Sankanac). Gifts given toward Reach Day will have all the administration fees waived so that 100% of your gifts will go right to the Lodge project. Additionally, Camp Sankanac has almost $45,000 in challenge gifts, helping you double your impact when you give!
*In order for your gifts to count toward Reach Day you either have to donate online on April 28th, or mail in a donation between April 24th-27th!
Though this facility will be owned by Camp Sankanac, it will be used during the week days of the school year as 'home-base' for ALC.
As God has continued to bless and grow ALC, our programs have become maxed out, with many families having to be put on waitlists. Currently, there are not enough large classroom spaces in a centralized location for us to take on any more students.
We currently use multiple other smaller classrooms/facilities that are spread out over Camp Sankanac's campus. This set-up is not ideal for the flow of our programs, transition times, etc.
The new lodge building will contain two large classrooms, bathrooms, storage rooms, a small kitchen area, and a common space/lounge on the lower floor for ALC to utilize. This facility will be located in the 'main-camp' area and very close to the new gymnasium (which has an additional large classroom) and the Mill building.
This Facility will allow us to expand our class sizes so more families can join us in pursuing the common goal of Christ-centered education.
The lodge will also help provide a more centralized and conducive environment for our programs to operate out of.
Please consider helping us in one or more of the following ways:
